Small Talk

I gave my 1st class pupils an exam recently and in one of the questions I asked the children to draw a LINE under the square on the page. One child drew an animal under the square and when I queried why his reply was : "Miss you asked us to draw a LION under the square"!!

With all the suicides in the last couple of weeks we were having a family conversation about why people would do something like that.
My 13 year old said:
"It's all very very sad, I wouldn't commit suicide for the life of me".
The innocence of youth...long may it last.!!

Was in Lifestyle in Stillorgan with my son to buy casual shoes. I could see that the selection wasn't great so I said :
'Look Alec if none of these are a runner then we'll go to Dundrum where they might have a better selection'. He points at the rack and says 'Mum these are 'runners'
